As the Vice President of Production at Anchor Brewers and Distillers, Scott is in charge of all beer, gin and whiskey production at this iconic San Francisco brewery and distillery.  Anchor has been brewing beer in San Francisco since 1896 and distilling rye whiskey since 1993.

Scott grew up in Northern California and idolized Anchor from early on as he attended UC Berkeley where he majored in English literature. After graduation, Scott had a short stint as a ski instructor and then spent a couple of years teaching high school English and Algebra at The Happy Valley School.

Eventually he returned to Northern California to obtain a Masters in Food Science at UC Davis specializing in Brewing.  Scott spent 18 years at Anheuser-Busch in varying roles at several breweries including a role as a Staff Brewmaster in charge of Brewing Raw Material quality while in St. Louis.

In 2007, Scott was transferred to the Fairfield, CA, brewery where he eventually became Brewmaster.  In 2014, Scott decided to leave Anheuser-Busch to pursue his lifelong dream of working in Craft Beer and distilling at Anchor.  Scott has now been with Anchor for one year and is enjoying himself immensely making quality beers and spirits.
