Ivano Tonutti

I was born in Turin (Italy) the February, 4th 1960.

In Turin (Italy) I’ve followed the entire educational pathway at the Faculty of Pharmacy obtaining a PhD in Pharmacy and then the Diploma of Pharmacist

Before I started working for Bacardi I've spent one year as Pharmacist Officer at the Turin Military Hospital.

And then four years at the Allione Industria Alimentare (production of fruit concentrates) as Quality Control Manager before and then Analytical Research Laboratory Manager 

Coming from a scientific background, I've started my career at Martini & Rossi as a Chemistry Researcher before taking the role as Quality Assurance Manager for Botanicals Operations.

Today I am the Senior Scientific Officer and Master of Botanicals: in this role I'm holding the technical responsibility for all botanicals activities, principally maintaining relationships with suppliers, the procurement of botanicals and evaluating their quality, and weighing botanicals in accordance with the secret Herbal Blend Formulation.

 I'm strongly collaborating with the Martini Master Blender, Giuseppe Musso, in the creation of new products for the Martini brand and with the Bombay Master Distiller, Nik Fordham, in the creation of new products for the Bombay brand. 

Curious by “genes” I’ve been all time fashioned by the complexity of nature and the connection of it with chemistry and science.

Today I’m still very passioned by my job and really proud to work for the Bacardi Group; it is an infinite trip that deserve all time a lot of motivation.

I was 10, when my uncle makes me a present for Christmas: a kit for little chemists. I believe this has conditioned all my following studies 

Out of the professional charges I love spend time with the kids (I have a daughter and a son, 11 and 12); reading a lot (not only scientific books), making relaxing sport like swimming and cycling (no competition), cooking for the family and friend.
