As a boy, Gregor grew up at distilleries such as Caol Ila, Coleburn, Cragganmore andCardhu in Scotland where his father Evan worked as Master Distiller of these qualitysingle malts. This is where Gregor's apprenticeship truly began. Learning from his father issomething that he never imagined would take him all over the world.In addition, Gregor has worked for the past 15 years with Master Distillers of the Diageosingle malt portfolio, Master Blenders of Crown Royal, Old Parr, Johnnie Walker,Buchanans, J&B and many other distillery staff who kindly shared their wealth ofknowledge of the business with Gregor when he worked at their distilleries and facilities inScotland and Canada.While working as Global Brand Ambassador for Diageo Whisky, Gregor developedhis ability for the nosing of Scotch Whisky and in 2011 (after 2 years and numerousorganoleptic tests) became a qualified whisky nose.Gregor has visited many countries around the World sharing his extensive knowledgeof whisky to thousands of whisky lovers and passing on his passion about the history,heritage, production process, maturation, blending, the people and all their great storiestold over a “wee dram.” .He is now based in the USA working as the Director of Whisky Education with the Mastersof Whisky team. In October 2011, Gregor was inducted into The Keepers of the Quaich, anexclusive Scotch Whisky society that honors individuals for their contribution to the ScotchWhisky Industry.
