Bourbon Through Bluegrass

Close your eyes and picture a Ken Burns documentary on Bourbon brought to life through live bluegrass music. Join Heaven Hill at the House of Blues and experience the evolution of Bourbon by tasting whiskey (and what became Bourbon) that folks drank back in the 1700’s, followed by what they drank in the 1800’s and finally what they’re drinking in present day.

This tasting of whiskeys from Heaven Hill stimulates all the senses.  See, hear, smell, feel and taste the history of the native spirit of the United States and literally drink in the history of Kentucky’s fine spirit through its music. Bacardi Drinks Theater presents "The Imbible: A Spirited History of Drinking"
You've heard of dinner theater?  Well, drinks theater is way better!  Only Bacardi could bring Off-Broadway to The French Quarter with this critically-acclaimed, smash-hit musical comedy, on special break from its sold-out run in New York City!  Join world-renowned mixologist and raconteur Anthony Caporale along with a glittering cast of guest stars for a boozy romp through the history of spirits and cocktails!  Founder Ann Tuennerman calls The Imbible "a super addition to Tales of the Cocktail!"

Combining history, science, and music along with three craft cocktails served during the performance, The Imbible sweeps audiences along a 10,000-year journey through history and across the globe accompanied by the vocal stylings of The Backwaiters acapella group.  Sit back and enjoy the music and drinks while Anthony holds forth on all things alcoholic, traces their economic and political impact on our cultural development, conducts live demonstrations of brewing mead and distilling spirits, and – like any good bartender – keeps his guests laughing throughout the night!  Combining Anthony’s encyclopedic knowledge of beverage history and decades of bartending experience with his legendary skills as a storyteller and entertainer, The Imbible treats audiences to a completely original and thoroughly enjoyable evening of immersive theatre utterly unlike anything they’ve ever experienced.  Renowned beverage writer Robert Haynes-Peterson declares that “while the show is wholly entertaining for the average civilian, it’s particularly poignant for bartenders, cocktailians, and distillery geeks.”
