Tales of the Cocktail 2015

Before all the Tales of the Cocktail® festivities kick off, we want to welcome you to our city with some old New Orleans charm. The entire Cocktail Apprentice team will be meeting at the revitalized Brennan’s Restaurant in the French Quarter for a classic New Orleans brunch hosted by New Orleans' own Sazerac Company. We will be joined by our friend Kris Comstock from Buffalo Trace who will talk about what his distillery has been up to and share samples from their impressive selection of whiskeys. Join all your fellow apprentices from around the world and let us serve you for a change.

This Peruvian-themed lunch is a unique opportunity to introduce to those selected for the Cocktail Apprentice Program to Peru's craft piscos including some that have not yet made it to the US. The menu will feature classic Peruvian dishes paired with cocktails designed to showcase the specific characteristics of each of the craft piscos specially brought to Tales of the Cocktail® for this event. Melanie Asher, Master Distiller and Master Blender of Macchu Pisco, will be on-hand to share the history and traditions of these piscos that embody the 3 different styles of pisco and represent unique grape varietals and give away some traditional swag like chuyos.
