Plantation Pineapple Rum Rides Into Town presented by Plantation Pineapple

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Last year at Tales, Plantation introduced 600 bottles of Plantation Pineapple Stiggins’ Fancy - the first pineapple artisanal spiced rum ever made by the inimitable Plantation Master Blender and Maison Ferrand proprietor Alexandre Gabriel and his spirits partner in crime, David Wondrich. It was meant to be a one-off, just a very special experiment. But it couldn’t be contained. The outcry! The demand! The pleas! From bartenders, trade, everyone who tasted it…made Alexandre rethink it all. This year we are happy to announce that Pineapple Rum will be made at the estate on a bigger scale with all the attention required to ensure quality at the highest standards! Join us to discover Plantation Pineapple Rum while dancing and drinking with us all things pineapple. Reverend Stiggins’ cocktails will be flowing as will the tropical food and enchanting island music.

And if you missed us last year and are wondering what Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum is…in 19th century England, pineapple rum was a sipping spirit par excellence but like many good things from the past, it fell out of use. Mr. Gabriel and Mr. Wondrich decided to fix this and revive this forgotten nectar. It is named after Rev. Stiggins, a character in Charles Dickens’ immortal Pickwick Papers, whose favorite drink was pineapple rum.

Plantation Pineapple will be joined by some of its lovely siblings like 3 Star White, Original Dark, Barbados 5 Year Old and a selection of the Plantation Vintages.
