Mark Dawkins

Mark Dawkins, with two decades of experience in the drinks industry, co-founded Charter Brands Ltd in 2011. He and business partner Mark Crump worked with Master Distiller Rob Dorsett at the Langley Distillery in the UK to create Langley’s No.8. Made in small batches from 100% English grain, Langley's No. 8 takes its name from the century-old Langley distillery, that had never before had allowed its name to appear on a spirit brand. Distilled in a small copper pot still nicknamed “Connie,” the classic flavor of Langley’s No. 8 comes from a precise mixture of eight botanicals, including juniper berries from Macedonia, coriander seeds from Bulgaria, sweet orange peel and sweet lemon peel from Spain, cassia bark from Indonesia, and ground nutmeg from Sri Lanka.

Mark had a clear objective when he set out to create Langley’s No. 8, namely to produce a gin that would make the ultimate Gin & Tonic. Perfectly balanced, classically masculine, and quintessentially English, Langley’s No. 8 has proven successful with recognition from top spirits writers from The Tasting Panel, Robb Report, Alcademics.com, The Wall Street Journal, and Huffington Post.
