Kent Westmoreland

Cocktail Bar @ The Windsor Court Hotel
Cocktail Purist. And all that implies.
New Orleans, LA

As passionate about people as he is knowledgeable about classic cocktails, Kent Westmoreland is right at home behind the bar getting to know his customers and recommending new drinks in place of old standbys. His expertise in classic and craft cocktails proves instrumental in his role as head mixologist for Windsor Court.

Westmoreland manages the cocktail program for Windsor Court’s Polo Club Lounge and Cocktail Bar, developing menus, implementing new marketing strategies, and serving some of his favorite concoctions.

“I am so pleased to be a part of the accomplished culinary team at Windsor Court who are always looking for new innovative ways to interpret traditional dishes,” says Westmoreland. “My latest interest is to give long-established cocktails like the Argentina and the Queen’s Cousin the classic status they deserve.”

Like many bartenders, Westmoreland got his start slinging drinks and crafting cocktails during college. Upon graduation with a degree in business administration, he spent more than 20 years bouncing from one Fortune 500 company to the next before finally breaking free in 2011 to return to bartending. Prior to joining the Windsor team in 2013, he worked at a variety of local bars, including Bar Uncommon, MiLa Restaurant and the Hyatt Regency.

Westmoreland has been a finalist and winner of multiple cocktail mixing competitions, and he is also a seasoned veteran of Tales of the Cocktail, having participated in the annual festival locally, and most recently, on tour in Buenos Aires.
